About Channel 59

A literal explosion of virtual gaming that allows you to play live with complete strangers has changed the way that a large part of the population of young people, especially boys, make friends and spend their time.

The individual games, of course, use “invites” to turn their current players into advocates.  But brands can also create a presence that turns players into advocates inside of these games.  This is the metaverse’s form of advertising.

Overview:  Roblox is a virtual world accessed through a computer screen that allows users to on their own, or in collaboration with others, build or destroy objects and structures.

Roblox is a virtual world that is viewed typically on a computer screen, and there are 60 million users in the world every day.  You can interact with others, but often groups of friends will create a team that travels around together.  Many people turn off the Roblox chats, and instead use a chatting app called Discord so that they are only hearing the people they have invited to the chat.

The characters in Roblox look a lot like Lego characters, with rudimentary arms and limbs.  However, through trading and purchases, you can buy armor and clothing and all sorts of accessories for your character.  Brands have begun to create experiences inside of Roblox for their young customers.  There is literally no limit to what you can invent inside of Roblox, from floating restaurants to underwater shopping experiences.
