About Channel 36

There are many businesses who make a large percentage of their sales at events. Whether you are a food truck, tie dye artist, winter festival or an Events Management Company, you may find that participating or hosting events is your top source of income.

If selling your product in real time is not an option, you can still participate, and try to bring each person you meet one step closer to working with you.  Be sure to collect contact information so that you can begin an inviting, friendly email drip campaign.  You may think of events as being in  person or via Zoom, but there is an enormous world of online gaming events.  The events can be attended live, or often gaming creators will record the event and publish it on their YouTube account.

Founder:  Alexander (last name withheld)

Overview:  A Minecraft Hypixel Live Event Player & YouTuber

I will never forget the sadness in my 12 year old son’s voice when he came to me on June 30, 2022  and told me that Technoblade had died after losing his battle with cancer.  Technoblade’s father had released a gut wrenching video that was a message to all of his son’s fans.  I want to include Technoblade on this list because he represents all that is good about the online gaming community, and was such an important figure to so many young people, and to the evolution of the online gaming world.

I asked my son to write something.

Alexander, also known as Technoblade on YouTube was a loved Minecraft content creator who gained popularity through his exceptionally dry and self aware humor. For many kids he was a huge influence on their childhood as everyone looked up to him so much. But a year ago he made a video on his channel explaining that over the past few months he had been diagnosed with cancer. He continued to post content on YouTube until 9 months later a video was made on his channel by Alexander’s father saying that he had died. The whole Minecraft community and even people outside of it were devastated by the news. The videos revenue was used to help cancer patients and the story made national news.”  ~Oliver

Technoblade was loved because he was funny.  He amassed fifteen million subscribers on YouTube, and there have been more than a billion views of his videos.

How Technoblade used events to sell products

Just like live sporting events, virtual events have superstars and fans, merch and sponsors.  Technoblade raised money for cancer research through his YouTube channel.  Merchandise is available at his website, which is now still selling goods, but is donating proceeds to an organization working to cure cancer.
